I. Foundations – “The World and Its Laws”
“God does not play dice” – Albert Einstein
Before any sort of measurement is made, it is imperative to accept the universe is not a chaotic mesh of semi-existing structures in quasi random paths. Though at times it is hard, and often almost impossible to notice, the universe is structured, ordered. To be an inhabitant of the universe, an object has to follow its laws, in a determined path, one that, in a micro level might seem random, but when all the complex interactions around are accounted for, just reaffirms that all are built on the same principles.
Before any mathematical formalism was sketched for the Theory of Relativity, its most important part, its foundation, was brought forth with thought experiments, simulating how those same fundamental principles would play off each other in different situations. To go further into our journey of understanding those thought experiments, and cataloguing the concepts they created, first we must understand those fundamental principles, and they perform in.
